Rabbi David Kosak became the spiritual leader of Congregation Shaarey Tikvah on July 1, 2011. Before coming to Cleveland, Rabbi Kosak served as Associate Rabbi of Beth El Synagogue Synagogue Center in his hometown, New Rochelle, N.Y.
At Beth El, Kosak was known for teaching Hebrew to teenagers through popular Israeli music and serving as a storyteller for the synagogue's preschoolers. Prior to training for the rabbinate, Kosak worked in several areas of the food industry. He ran his own catering business and helped a college friend launch a line of kosher organic teas that are currently distributed worldwide.
Rabbi Kosak is married to Laura. They have two children.
