Early Childhood

Shabbat Clubhouse is a weekly program on Saturday mornings from 10:00 am to noon for children from birth through pre-school. Staffed by a childcare provider and a teen Junior Educator, the children play and make friends in a warm, caring environment.  Our Junior Educator leads a Tot Shabbat program with tefillah, Jewish stories, songs, learning, and sometimes Aleph Bet yoga.  Our youngest learners also join the main service for the Torah parade when the Torah is returned to the ark.  The children bring a contagious level of energy to the sanctuary during the Torah parade, when they accompany the Torah carrying their stuffed mini Torahs.  Our ark was built specially to include a children’s ark so that our children participate personally on the bima and know that we embrace them fully into our community.

Throughout the year, we have additional programming geared toward families with young children, such as Pajama Neshama and Chaverim Shabbat.
