Teens (grades 8-12) continue their Jewish education and involvement at Shaarey Tikvah and in the local community in several ways.

  • B’nai Emunah (Confirmation – 10th grade) / B’nai Torah (Graduation – 12th grade): These milestone programs offer our teens the chance to showcase their continued Jewish learning in a personally meaningful way.
  • Teen Lunch and Learns: Once a month during the school year, teens engage in discussion with and socialize over lunch following Shabbat morning services. After lunch, an engaging study and discussion session is held, based on topics of interest selected by the teens.
  • United Synagogue Youth (USY)STUSY, Shaarey Tikvah’s youth group for teens in 9-12th grades, provides educational, social, and leadership development opportunities.
  • Teen Volunteer Program: Interested teens can train as madrichim, Teen Educators, to work with young children in our Shabbat Clubhouse program.
